Original's watch out!

The economy aside, you know you have problems when the "best", or should I say, the most acceptable pizza take out is Papa Gino's. I mean I love Elios pizza, and we do buy it in bulk from BJ's, but sometime you just want, as Connor puts it, "pizza with crust". So what does one do? We have, to our credit, tried most every pizza place around here. We've taken that "unbelievably long" drive (as the locals consider the 15 minute drive to be) into Providence. We were very optimistic since we were going to the Little Italy of Providence. I mean come on, it has to be good right. Yea well... not really. I do need to give credit to one place we did find in Portsmouth, but it takes 45min just to get there. So unless its a planned adventure it's not worth it.

So this week I decided to... drum roll please... try and make our very own pizza dough... from scratch!

It was actually a very fun family event... and pretty easy. But most importantly... it was really good!

The boys had a plain cheese, shocking I know, while Peter and I made a BBQ Chicken pie... YUMMY! Mommy... don't be jealous! We know how you love BBQ Chicken Pizza.

Gavin gobbled it up, and our toughest critic Connor... who really does know a good pie when he tastes it... loved it! SCORE!

Today turned out to be a very busy kitchen day. I made Pumpkin-Banana Muffins, and Homemade Granola. The boys and I love putting Granola over yogurt, so I figured I would try and make it myself. I got 6 thumbs up... 2 from all my "boys'!

Hey if Andrew is reading this:) I do have a quick question for you... can you freeze pizza dough and still have it be good? It is Whole Wheat pizza dough by the way.
